About

Hi! My name is Michelle. I was born and raised in sunny Singapore, and perhaps because the country I call home is basically a tiny island, or perhaps because I read a lot as a child, I’ve always known that there is so much to see beyond its borders. One of my greatest pleasures in life now is seeing for myself those places that I have dreamed of visiting for years, and this blog was started primarily to help document my adventures before they fade from my (lousy) memory, and hopefully be of some slight use (or just amusement) to others who are planning trips.

My interests include diving, horseback riding, swing dancing (and baking), which I try to incorporate into my travels wherever possible – well, not so much in the case of baking, but it does give me something enjoyable to do when I am at home saving up/planning for my next trip.

I am also learning Spanish so a big ¡HOLA! to any Spanish speakers reading this, ¿qué tal? ¡Mucho gusto!

I also happen to be a huge fan of the San Antonio Spurs and have been a long-time fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers as well (it’s a long and complicated story), and catching either of these teams in action would be amazing.

Elsewhere on the internet, I’ve been featured in Travel Notes & Beyond and GoEuro. Both very exciting collaborations!

I’d love to connect with you on Twitter (@michwanderlust) or Instagram (@michhwanderlust). You can also contact me at wanderlustmich AT gmail DOT com.

Thanks for reading!
